Hi!

Finally the stuff from Olde is mounted  So will try to go further with the HX40. But just a few questions, what base boost do you use?

Do you have any problem with the idle if you just press the clutch down and let the rpm down after WOT?
16.5° + 1600mg/c @ 6000rpm = :D

i think my base boost is around 0.8, and no problems with the idle.

Sorry guys for the lack of updates on my end of the HX40 project.
Haven´t had much free time on my hands lately.

pussyinboot: I had the problem you describe with engine stalling after a WOT run.

This was traced back to that the AMM was mouted to close to the turbo. This created some weird turbulence during spool down that upset the AMM signal to the ecu, wich richened up the AFR hence the engine stalling on idle. This showed up as mg/c spikes in my logs.

Redid the inlet piping and increaced the TimeOpenBPV and the problem was gone.
Great drivability when I got this out of the way, car was a rocket.

Sadly this did not last very long. I had a slight hickup that lead to a general engine faliure.
Reached about 1950-2000mg/c @ 2,2bar in midrange at about 3500rpm when I shattered no.4 piston, wich completely trashed my engine.
Even cracked the compressor housing...

Funny thing is that I was expecting this.
Guess this one is on me but now we know whereabout the limits are of the T5 stock pistons.
I can tell you one thing, I´m impressed that they held up this long.

Ps. I have a 1bar spring in my 38mm Tial WG.
