I'm gonna give this bin a try, for this car: http://forum.ecuproject.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1620#p24388

And will give feedback as soon as possible.

The tune works fine on the car. My friend is very happy

This tune now runs on a 9-5 B235E MY05 with TCS/ESP 5 speed manual. No warning lights to be seen. And a great improvement over the original factory bin. Thx Mackan, another great tune!

I plan on trying this tune in the coming weeks. I've been keeping a fuel economy log (28mpg during my ownership), and am curious what this tune will do, both on petrol and E85. I'll be sure to post what I find.

US 2002 9-5 B245E Sportwagon, ESP, 5sp Manual

Thank you, Mackan, for providing the tune, and helping us newbies along.

For those early adopters, can anyone give a long-term update?

3/19 edit:
Just installed it tonight, and had a short test drive. After a short issue with the immobilizer code (read the wrong numbers off the stock ecu), it was all back in and running no problems after entering in VIN and the correct code.

I'll just say, it gives it a bit more kick all over. Highway onramps are the biggest difference. I would be disappointed if I had paid full price for a boxed stage1 of this performance, but that's why I'm here. It makes it very obvious the vibrations at low rpm, high loads. I may need to check my engine mounts.

Fast throttle response was on, but I hadn't enough time to really tell a difference. I tend to drive very smoothly and I didn't encounter a lot of lights at 1am.

MPG seemed improved, but it's definitely too early to tell. I'm hopeful, since I kept the throttle 1 or 2 notches lower for the same cruising speed as stock, watching it on my scangauge, which still worked.

:D

i tried this bin on a friend s car today .Before he run with b235r biopower with limited torque on his 9.5 bio b235 07..work like a charm just problem of classic esp and abs .So we decided to test the mackam s biopower files ..Work fine not so hard than the last one but god stage 1 ...
A surprise in add.we were runing the sid data mode on this car .(07 with speed select on steering colun with automatic gearbox). It runs like the early car , change data +,- clear for change mode ....... :)
Congratulations mackam for this feature on your files ..Each time that we tested for sid data , no sucess..

Some other maps have that "issue" aswell, so I guess it's "normal". I believe engine trq for e85 map lacks x-axis. Just memorize the -axis map and you're fine.

Would it be possible to adapt this file to run this file on a B235R ( 9-5 Aero ) or are there any other .55P based files that would be better ?

Today I run Mackans B235R Bipower Rev. 5 file ( Based on .46 file ) But think that a file based on .55P file would work better together with Aut. gearbox ( 5 Speed )

Car is 9-5 Aero , -2003 Aut.

Coldstart and warmup will be almost identical from a B235E or R so just leave it and move on maxo ;)

Very nice program, as alway Mackan :)

Question, I couldnt find the eco/normal/sport mode stuff in the mode to change.
I've heared that it's a .xdf file that I can add in the program in order to get those modes, is that right?

Regards

mackan wrote:Latest firmware, ordinary stage 1 for stock hardware.
Should give aprox 230bhp/350nm on petrol, a little more torque on E85.
Only changed in air/torque limiters and boostcal maps.

Use as you want as long as you say where the bin came from, ecuproject.com !!!

I still have problems with biopower binary. Please tell me if I’m doing something wrong.
I’m trying to open the stage1 .55 file from the R&D-area to try it in a B234/5/hybrid early petrol engine. I suspect that the engine I will use it on does not have a evap system (but have TCS), therefore I thought I’d disable the OBDCal.evapEquipmentExis. The address for the limits is given above in this thread but I can not find the enabler of the function (OBDCal.evapEquipmentExis) in the file.

Am I doing something wrong? I can open the bin, both .46 and .55. I can get the XML extensions/definition pack to work but only a part of the undocumented parameters are given after adding the XML-pack.

Is there a complete XML-file somewhere I can use? If not, how can I map symbols to address.

Manick, how did you find the O2HeatPostCal.I_LowLim is @ adress 28574 and O2HeatPostCal.I_highLim is @ adress 28576

I have never had to disable any evap stuff on 9-5's, why do you suspect this, have you got an error code?

No, haven’t tried it yet. Just assumed that second lambda and evap needed to be ”adjusted”. Thought I change this before I loaded the soft. The engine has only front/one lambda and have no diagnostic for the evap system but have tcs, so it should almost fit as a glove was my thougt. My other assumption is that this software is for a car with diagnostic for the evap system. Therefore I assumed there would be a mismatch and a CEL but I can try and see, if it’s not working I can always go for a soft without Biopower function, but I thought it would be fun to try the power of alcohol as I’d never tried it before.
