It is a file for My05 or earlier. So Sid buttons will not work on a 06.

Re: Live engine data on SID

Just read through this whole thread, very interesting. I have an early bin, with only the 33 items.
Now i want to be difficult and add the knock counters into that. I've seen examples of this with the more complete bins (added in another mode).

What I've done so far, in T7 suite found the symbol via the T7suite search (it isn't an option in the drop down list in the SID info menu), KnkDetAdap.KnkCntCyl , There is says it' starts at 016D7E and is 8 spots long.
So I've come to the following:
Cil1 = 016D7E
Cil2 = 016D80
Cil3 = 016D82
Cil4 = 016D84

The next step is to put this in the sid info, I was planning to replace 4 of the current 33 items with those addresses. Shouldn't be a problem right? Or am i only allowed to do this with one of the other modes?

Using this bin: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=2016

Hello ...

In T7Suite appears in this: (symbol name) -->Category:Displ(4) --> Displ.ST_SIDButtons 94811 1 Status on the SID buttons: bit button 7 CLEAR 6 SET 5 - 4 + 3 NIGHT PANEL Interval is every 100 ms at an event. :oops: Could it be activated? :o if so: how? :o
In the bin: 9-5 B205E 98-00 Green Inj 190HP EU EA1YZA9C.47B

See you later

What exactly do you want to be activated?
This symbol is just a status (you can't write to it, just read)...

So you think adding this you'll get more SIDI data?
If so, then you're wrong.. Please read carefully symbol description and my comments...

Hello ...
I guess I can not explain it well ..
Here, the cars 98 to 00 in sid only have (with the software activation) of 33 separate parameters : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QQY7mxy3qA

of the 01 have more:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70n4QU-9Uvk

What I am trying to explain is that with the soft opening T7Suite think these are included in the data. Bin 9-5 B205E 98-00 EU EA1YZA9C.47C
Open T7Suite-->(symbol name) -->Category:Displ(4) -->

What sandy is trying to say is that this symbol is used to store what SID-button you have pushed so you are able to use the "Open Sid" mode. If you look at this symbol when pushing different SID buttons you will see the ASCII code for 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 if you use 98-05 bins, on post 05 bins you have a different SID that sends different values for the SID buttons. You can look at this: viewtopic.php?p=13748#p13748

The Displ.ST_SIDButtons symbol is always active.

Probably a very quick and simple question.

On Pre-ODB cars (mine is 2000), if I flash the ECU with a bin with OBD enabled....can I then connect an OBD reader to the ODB2 port and reads error codes?

nErr says 2 and Fcod says 4882 (I know that means p1312) but would quite like to read all error codes now and in the future.
