Nice work!!!

Good to hear that we have some guys that hand out useful info from time to time. Thanks for that!
I'll create a new editor in T7Suite for WriteProtectedECU what will enable the user to choose in a dropdownbox between "Yes" and "No."
Kudos!

Maybe this feature is also neccesary when logging values in T7 properly, had issues with this before, values were stuck at 0, will check this tonight!

I think it's enought to just change the first letter "Y" to an "N". 8-)

Maybe you know how to unlock the bin for real time editing of RAM in the T7 box as well? Or maybe this should have unlocked that posibility already? :)

If you change "Mode" from 0 to 1,2,3,4,5,6 you can view more values, use the "SET button" to change (one short push and then a long push).

Edit: This applies to B235R, 2006 software, don't know if there are more or less modes in the Biopower bins.

Good to hear that someone here still reversing the code... ;) I'd thought no-one interested in such findings.... ;)

So you could accually see all realtime values then...Will jump into my car and try at once ;)

Hehe, every finding has a value! :D

This is pretty cool! I've tried it during the first test run. I liked the torque calculation on mode 4 :D If you set it to mode 4 and press + and - together you can see Torque limit for air and torque limit total and actual real time torque calculation what the engine outputs. For some reason I only got 385-390 Nm out of 400 Nm max. It aslo says engine outputs 3-4 Nm when standing still.

If you add more powerconsumers like fan, heated seats and so on, the torq will raise, becaouse the alternator will produce more braking to the crankshaft

Hmm, can I have solved it?
If you change the softwarez to No in WriteProtected and change the letter C in softwareversion to an O, I get an completly different answer i T7suite.
Normally I got the answer ~, but now I get a lot of boxes and other stuff in the dialog.

Noticed also that CANUSB is sending information constantly now, after one try to read SRAM content

wow this is awesome. i can't change modes like the other software, but i still have the first values. i just wish my sid had enough pixels to form coherent letters and numbers!

You mean that the write protect and the c in the software number was the things that locked up the ram writing? :D

Live engine data on SID

I suggest we post all the findings regarding WriteProtectedECU and what kind of data we can see in SID. Thanks to Mackan and jse we are now able to view lots of interesting motor data live on the SID. First a little description how to change a binary for these added functions;

In T7suite, search for WriteProtectedECU in the search field below "Symbol Name" and you will find it. It should be in the category Undocumented. Change 29440 to 11776 and 22885 to 20079. You are actually changing 3 bytes from "Yes" to "No.".

After start up you will see how long it took to start engine in seconds, engine temp, E85 adaption and one more. Press clear and SID will act as normal.

To access the extra stuff you'll need to press + and - at the same time. You can scroll with + and -. You can change "Mode" to get access to more symbols by pressing Set (displays ** before mode) and then press and hold Set for a few secs to choose.

You can also use Set to lock the top symbol and then select a second symbol to monitor at the same time. Pressing + and - will display 6 of the symbols on this particular mode number at the same time. By holding + you can see what symbols that are shown.

Mackan made this nice little video how it looks like on the SID http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcsC38mIrVY

Symbols that can be monitored: (post your findings and I will add)

Nono, from Yes to No. it should be ;)

gredd wrote:After start up you will see engine temp + some other data. Press clear and SID will act as normal.

It is said to be how much E85 adaptation that has been done if you use biopower bins here.

gredd wrote:Basic info (all modes):

mReq Total requested airmass after pedal request and limits.
mAir Actual airmass

- Pinl Intake pressure after throttleplate in mBar, this is absolute preasssure so deduct 1000 from the value to get what you should see at your boost meter!
- Pbef presssure before throttle plate, see above
- Pair atmosphere pressure, see above
- Igna Ignition advance
- RPM what it sounds like
- Lamb current drift from lambda 1, deduct 1000 to get real value
- Tair intake temperature

And the movie :D

So does this work on any T7 binary? I can't seem to find that symbol name on the first few files i've tried.
