MMm... you probably have "Show mapviewers in seperate windows" checked in the settings screen.
Can you uncheck it and retry the mapviewer close button issue?

I will look for an answer to this one :)

You're correct. Unchecked it and 'close' works now. The panels don't look any different either way so i'll leave it like that.

I hadn't changed the default settings as they work well for me.

Thank you yet again :)

It was something that got copied & pasted from the inital T5Suite. The function was never implemented in T7Suite but the depenency remained...

No  necessary.

Work in progress.

At least your software works, doesn't clog up the machine, removes itself after an update and gets fixed immediately.
Could you go and get a job with Microsoft please? Preferably taking over from Bill Gates. :D

Another question (or 2), is it possible to expand the search capabilities in the bin repository.

I would like to make the following search (allso in T5 suite):
model / year / engine type and or turbo / region / emission country code / sort by latest
9-3 / 2001 / B205E and or garret / EU / EC 2000 / 2008

It would be nice allso te protect the bin repositoy from writing in it so you wo'n get the rubbish in it when you test something in a standard bin.

And... another question, why is it when i easytune a car to have less torque with a lot of HP the HP will not go up as much as requested. a 270 NM 9-5 will not do 245 HP... Is that a rpm x torque thing i don't understand yet?

And... on easytune a 2.3 l 9-5 170hp 98/00 will get too much torque on easytune, it needs to go up smoother to keep the clutch alive. How much, i don't know yet...

And, you are my hero, in case you dit not know yet :ugeek:

Nice.

This 2.0 version is very cool.
The project option is amazing to keep track of all the changes...

Dillema, i'm trully amazed!!! :o Fantastic work.

One question regarding previous update:

How does the "Use trionic calculation for torque" works?
What variables does it takes in consideration?

Thanks,
Filipe

G,
Where do you take the params for the EGT estimate?
Mine is rather high in theory (screenshot below), but i doubt that i even get close (reading on SID max. 850 AFAIK)....

As i mentioned in the release notes this is only to get the discussion going and get more people involved in this.
Maybe someone wants to start reading the details in the asm code to figure out the exact calculation in trionic.

What i do now:

Lookup the value in the lambda1 map (egt estimates for lambda 1) and multiply that by the estimated lambda value for cells not running in closed loop.
So, if EGT map says 1100 degrees and lambda estimate is 0.8 then the figure in the graph is 1100 * 0.8 = 880 degrees.

gredd wrote:Regarding the real time panel; as you said, the AFR meter is a bit slow and I get about 4,5 f/s even with extra CAN frames activated. Maybe a way to disable/configure how many symbols to monitor will speed things up in the dash. Innovate uses something called prio reading in their OBD logger. Some of the symbols doeesn't need high speed like coolant temp and air inlet. Fetching data can look like this:

read:

RPM
Airmass
AFR
Ignition
AirDem
LambdaStatus
+one low prio symbol like Teng (next read Tair and so on...)

goto read

I guess it's time to pickup on some old wishes... this might be a good one to start with.

If everything is tuned right I think the calculations are quite correct :)

Might be a slightly high EGT but not far from it!

I seems to vary quite significantly from bin to bin (the calibration is probably different indeed).

The lambda * calc.EGT is formula is way too simple of course and the lambda value is incorrect in open loop operation (value from BFuelCal.Map) which also goes for airmass result viewers display for target lambda.

Anyway... a few members on the dutch saabforum are helping out with logs with wbo2 and calculated egt to see whether there's some obvious relation between them (incl. rpm of course).
We'll see how it goes.

EGT on Petrol is almost correct, EGT on E85 needs go be down with about 50degrees.

A heads up to people using virtualbox and realtime logging on the p-bus, here on my netbook i was only getting 1-3 fps with the standard symbols added.
Same hardware with a native xp (not a vm) gets 5+ fps.
The same happened when i did it with my desktop pc which has much more powerfull hardware (VM vs native), i think there's something with the USB pass-through that limits it in virtualbox.

Tried 2. It's very important to use a suitable basefile for the engine, for most Biopower conversions there is a B205E files used, if not done properly and put in a B235R engine the exhaust cal will of course be totally wrong.
