T7Suite

Postby Dilemma » Wed Aug 27, 2008 4:34 pm

For public 1st beta release here on ecuproject...

http://trionic.mobixs.eu

This site will replace the "old" one for T5 and T7 in a while.
You can find T5Suite and T7Suite here. T7Suite is still in a beta stage and we'd like to have feedback on what has been achieved sofar.

DO NOT USE THE TUNING WIZARD YET... it is not finished yet, although it is enabled, there's details to be sorted out!!!

You can use it to start exploring T7 of course and make changes to all the maps in it....

Have fun!

That is great news! You have done some really great work for the saab community here!

You may be responsible for saving many blown 95 engines this next year. I was talking with the dealer and they had 31 blown motors from people going up the pass in 95's running lean.

One on the dyno ran 17.5/1 :o

I have some good pro tunes that show some missing maps, knock detection sound and others. I think it would be easier just to send you those tunes instead of trying to write down all the missing maps. Each sw version had its own missing stuff.

thanks for all the great work,

John

My personal knowledge says - blown engines it's not an altitude problem, but stupiditude.... ;)

Yup oe sw, its a known thing here in Denver, the people go up the mountain pass to 10-12000' and the cars run lean, t7 at altitude, the car sw runs lean, seen it myself many times...

Its easily corrected too

Yes, my uncle replaces a 9-5 motor about once a week in Billings, Montana from motors that blew up while going up a particular hill just outside Billings.

Please tell us what needs to be done then! :)
Is this just at wot? I guess the O2 sensor would deal with this otherwise.

Also Biopower cars would be less likely to have these problems as they go with lambda 1 much higher up in the revs and have a bigger adaption span.

I dont beleive such stories... T7 unit has integrated atmosphere pressure sensor on it's board... So it MUST take into account some difference between "traditional" 100kpa...
PS: another way is to restart engine in every 1000 meters of elevation to let the T7 correct it's readings for changed air pressure/density...

Looks like I've got a "new" 9-5 until next week so I can start tuning T7 for "real", will also fit a TCS unit for biopower capabilitys! :)

What do you say about the 31 blown motors going up the mountain pass this year???

Its a know problem here in Denver and I have seen the dyno sheet where the car was at 17.1/1

Right past about 7500', they start to lean out quick!!! Its easy to say you don't believe it when you do not live here and see all the blown motors and see the dyno sheets and hear the stories.

P.S. WE only get 91 crap gas up here in Denver and that does not help and some of the motors are people running cheap 87 octane and I could come up with a tune to work more safely with the cheaper lower octane fuel. They also mix in 10% ethonal to help with emmissions up here in Denver.

By richening the a/f mixture and changing the timing, I am pretty sure I can make the car run safer at high altitude.
